The science came first. The funding followed — born from a conversation with a scientist who believed, with absolute certainty, that cancer could be cured. Seven Families stood behind that belief, knowing no one can do it alone. As people who had decided this was the work worth doing.
BioFund operates an integrated OneHealth translational engine — developing curative biologics and preventive bioactives in parallel, across companion animal and human health.
Companion animals naturally develop cancers and chronic diseases that mirror human pathology — and they are patients, not instruments. Treating their disease is care for those animals in its own right. That it also generates human-relevant data faster, more honestly, and with greater translational fidelity than conventional models is not a coincidence — it is what happens when the science and the conscience of the work happen to agree.
Over years of focused development, BioFund has built the platforms, assets, and capabilities the mission demands. This portfolio is managed by BioFund Ventures and is selectively accessible to partners whose ambitions are genuinely aligned with ours.
The Families also fund an active in-house cancer research programme.
